Fig. 13: Lake Samarangeree is located at the Fernpass, somewhat hidden behind Lake Fernstein. It is one of the most popular diving destinations. As this lake has neither inflow nor outflow, the water here is particularly clear. Sunken trees at the far end form an underwater Mikado. Slime algae overgrow everything and create an enchanted fairytale world. If you want to dive here, you must book two nights at Hotel Schloss Fernsteinsee and have at least 100 dives under your belt.
