Tenerife, Canary Islands

Tenerife is the island most designed for tourism and is accordingly heavily built up. In the hinterland, however, you can still find primeval areas with winding mountain pass roads. The Teide volcano, which extends from sea level to 3718 meters, is particularly impressive. We had a hotel room in Playa Paraiso, not far from the Remmidemmi stronghold of Playa Americana. We spent most of the time under water with Heinz Scheffler's Baracuda Club Tenerife.
